Description

You already know the name. Minoxidil is the topical most men reach for first, and this is the URoots version of it.

URoots Minoxidil 5% is a once-a-morning, once-a-night scalp solution for men whose hairline or crown is thinning on the usual genetic schedule. The 5% strength does the heavy lifting. Procapil rides alongside it to cover the hormonal side that minoxidil on its own leaves untouched. Both sit inside a lipid carrier system, which is there for one reason: to get more of each active below the surface of your scalp instead of leaving it sitting on top.

There is no alcohol in it. It dries clean, leaves nothing behind, and takes about a minute. Apply as your dermatologist or trichologist directs. For external use only.

Suitable for

Men with mild to moderate genetic hair fall, the kind that walks the hairline back or opens the crown out over years rather than months. It also suits thinning that comes alongside other scalp conditions, and it can be used to support recovery after a transplant if your doctor clears it.

It is not for everyone, and the exclusions matter:

  • Not for women who are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

  • Not for anyone under 18.

  • Men with heart conditions, particularly those past 65, need a doctor's go-ahead before the first application.

  • Anyone who has reacted badly to minoxidil before should ask about a different formulation.

Key Benefits

Two actives, doing two different jobs, delivered by a carrier built to get them where they are useful.

  • Minoxidil belongs to a group of drugs that relax the smooth muscle in blood vessel walls. In your scalp, that means the vessels feeding each follicle open wider, and more blood arrives carrying more oxygen and more of the raw material hair is built from. It also shifts the timing of the hair cycle, cutting short the dormant stretch and lengthening the stretch where hair is actively growing. More follicles growing at once, for longer, is what shows up months later as reduced shedding and visible fill.

Instructions

How To Use

1 mL to the thinning areas, twice a day, or as your doctor directs.

  • The scalp must be clean and completely dry before you start. Applying to a damp scalp waters down the dose.

Active Ingredients and How They Work

  • A vasodilator, and one of the potassium channel openers. It widens the small blood vessels supplying the follicle by relaxing the muscle in their walls, which lifts the oxygen and nutrient supply reaching the root. On the growth cycle, it shortens the resting phase and extends the active growing phase, so a greater share of your follicles are producing hair at any given time.

How Will it Help You?

Genetic hair fall in men runs on two problems at the same time: a follicle that is not being supplied well enough, and a hormone steadily shrinking it. A product that solves one and ignores the other is doing half the work.

  • How Will it Help You?

The graph is based on insights gained from over 10 years of research, 100,000+ patient evaluations,15,000+ successful hair transplant surgeries and the clinical experience of QHT Clinic. Results may vary depending on individual hair-loss stage, treatment plan and consistency of use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions
  • When will I notice a difference?

Most men see the first genuine change somewhere in months 3 to 4. Density then builds slowly, and the fullest result usually arrives around the 12-month mark. The early weeks look like nothing is happening, which is exactly when people give up on a treatment that was working.

  • What happens if I stop?

The hair you gained goes, and the thinning picks up where it left off. Minoxidil holds a result for as long as you keep using it, and no longer. Worth knowing before you start rather than after.

  • Is it safe to leave on overnight?

Yes, and overnight gives it a long, uninterrupted window to absorb. Apply at least 2 hours before you get into bed so it has fully dried and nothing ends up on your bedding.

  • Can I use it on a patchy beard?

This one is formulated for the scalp. Minoxidil is used on beards, but a 5% scalp solution on facial skin is a decision for your doctor, not for a product page.

  • Will Minoxidil cause pimples if it touches my face?

Accidental contact may cause irritation or breakouts. Rinse immediately if the solution touches your eyes or mouth.

  • What if it gets on my face or in my eyes?

It can irritate the skin or bring on a breakout. If it reaches your eyes or your mouth, rinse immediately with water.

  • What side effects should I watch for?

The safety record for topical minoxidil at this strength is strong, and most men experience nothing worse than some scalp irritation, dryness or light flaking, which usually settles. Uncommonly, men report a racing heart, dizziness, or swelling in the hands or feet. If any of those appear, stop using it and speak to your doctor.
